My wife Rachel and I recently got married and amidst the countless discussions about flowers, venues, bowties, and food options, another discussion arose: What’s going to happen after the wedding? Now of course we both knew that life would go on after our big day but we felt hesitant to continue on the normal trajectory of a newlywed couple.
This is when Rachel, who is a nurse, brought up the option of travel nursing. Being a teacher I had little to no knowledge of the concept of a traveling profession but the more we explored the more we realized this would be the perfect fit for us. So, after countless conversations Rach did something she’d always dreamed of, she applied to her first travel nursing job and shortly after accepted a position. We put our dreams of owning a house with a white picket fence on hold and traded them in for a three month stay at an airbnb and a new camera. Please join us on our journey as we document the ins and outs of travel nursing and exploring the US together.
Our goal through this experience is document, but also inspire those to travel and explore our beautiful planet. Whether its a backpacking tour to Europe, a visit to your favorite National Park, or a weekend trip to a city you have never been before, we hope you make time and space to travel.
